Ticketing

TravelQuest plans the itinerary. The identified provider issues the ticket.

The ticketing provider for each itinerary must be named in the written proposal before the customer authorizes a purchase.

Before authorization

The written proposal identifies the selected flights, passenger details, current airfare, TravelQuest fee and the provider expected to issue the airline ticket.

Ticket issuance

After written authorization, the provider attempts to issue the ticket at the available fare. An itinerary is not ticketed until a ticket number has been issued.

What the customer receives

  • The airline reservation locator.
  • The electronic ticket number for each ticketed traveller.
  • The issued itinerary.
  • Receipts for the applicable charges.
  • The fare conditions supplied for the booking.

If issuance fails

If the approved fare is no longer available or the ticket cannot be issued, TravelQuest must provide the changed information before requesting new authorization. A different itinerary or amount is not approved automatically.

After ticketing

Airline schedule changes and servicing requests are coordinated with the provider that issued the ticket. Airline and fare rules continue to apply.
