Before ticket issuance
A free request can be withdrawn at any time. If a fare changes before issuance, TravelQuest must present the new itinerary or amount and obtain new authorization before proceeding.
Voluntary changes and cancellations
When the traveller chooses to change or cancel a ticket, the airline fare conditions determine whether a change, credit or refund is available. Fare differences and airline charges may apply.
The airline 24-hour rule
For qualifying reservations made directly with an airline at least seven days before departure, the airline must offer either a 24-hour cancellation option or a 24-hour hold. That airline requirement does not automatically apply to a ticket purchased through a travel agent.
TravelQuest’s applicable 24-hour policy must be disclosed on the final authorization page before an eligible booking. The final policy is not yet published because the ticketing arrangement is still being completed.
Airline cancellation or significant change
A refund of the airfare may be due when the airline cancels or significantly changes the flight and the traveller chooses not to travel or accept alternative transportation, credit or other compensation. The issuing provider processes the airline-ticket refund.
TravelQuest advisory fee
The proposal must state whether the advisory fee is refundable. An airline refund does not automatically determine the treatment of a separately disclosed service fee.
Requesting service
Contact TravelQuest with the passenger name, ticket number and requested outcome. Never send card details by email. Processing time depends on the airline and issuing provider.
This page describes the intended policy structure and requires final review against the signed ticketing and payment agreements before launch.
